The province of British Columbia is pushing ahead with construction of a massive hydro-electric despite opposition from Indigenous peoples who rely in the waters and shores of the threatened Peace River Valley to hunt, fish and conduct ceremonies.

Two years ago, Edward Snowden revealed that around the world governments are illegally and unnecessarily spying on our internet and phone use. They are storing our private information. In the wrong hands, this could put us in danger.
In June 2015 Amnesty International UK screened Laura Portrais film, Citizen Four. Before the Oscar winning documentary, Edward Snowden participated in a live question and answer session via links between Russia and the Human Rights Action Centre in London.
