Yara* (23) is a refugee from Syria and a single mother of 4: Mohieddine (7), Miriam (6), Mohammed (3) and Mutanama (2). Her husband was arrested at the border between Syria and Lebanon and she paid 2000 USD to get him released. Then she learned that he had been killed in prison from a YouTube clip showing his dead body thrown outside the prison. She has moved around 15 times in Lebanon for almost 2 years with her 4 kids and her main concern now is to escape her family´s beatings and pressure to re-marry and her 2 year old´s severe health concerns (opening in spine) that she can´t afford to treat. Due to the humidity in the room where they are currently living in the Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut, Burj el-Barajneh, the kids have also got asthma. They want to go to school and cry about it, but Yara can´t afford the registration fees. Yara is registered with the UNHCR and is hoping for resettlement and treatment for her son who´s health is deteriorating. Her dream is to study and work as a nurse.
